Bulgaria Boasts Decrease in Unemployment for Seventh Consecutive Month

Bulgaria's unemployment rate has dropped for a seventh consecutive month, reaching 10.4% in August, down by 0.2 percentage points on a monthly basis.
The unemployment rate fell by 0.3 percentage points compared to August 2013, according to the Employment Agency.
The number of unemployed people in Bulgaria decreased by 58 730 in the period January-August 2014.
In August 2014, employment offices across the country reported a total of 342 503 unemployed.
The Employment Agency informed about seven consecutive months of decrease in August.
The total number of unemployed in August 2014 was lower by 4746 compared to July 2014 and lower by 8935 compared to August 2013.
