Bulgaria Appoints New Deputy Economy Minister

Prime minister Boiko Borisov appointed Evgenia Haritonova as deputy minister of economy, energy and tourism, the government said.

Haritonova will be in charge of energy issues, replacing Valentin Nikolov at this position, the government's press office said in a statement issued on Monday.

Prior to taking this position, Haritonova was member of the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. She has also worked at the state-owned Electricity System Operator (ESO) and power grid operator NEK.
