Bulgaria does not support the proposal for temporary increase of co-financing from EU funds to members states which implement programmes for financial support.
This is stated in a statement Bulgaria sent to Brussels, the Government's information service said in a press release Wednesday. It was sent in connection with the proposed amendment of Article 77 of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1083/2006 as regards certain provisions relating to financial management for certain Member States experiencing or threatened with serious difficulties with respect to their financial stability.
Bulgaria's position is that the amendment would lead to unequal attitude to member states who pursued a prudent fiscal policy during the economic crisis and did not experience liquidity problems./Source: BTA/
