Bulgaria's Parliament adopted on Thursday a law on online gambling and betting, introducing special licensing regimes for all local and foreign online casino operators.
Under the act, all casino operators will be required to hold a licence issued by the State Gambling Commission, Parliament said in a statement published on Thursday.
The commission will compile and regularly update a blacklist of Internet gambling websites owned by unauthorised persons, which it will publish it on its webpage.
Under the law, local Internet services providers will be required to block access to gambling websites which operate without a licence.
The law bans direct advertisement of gambling games.
