“Another 300 km of motorways to the already built 300 km of motorways will be our priority in the coming years”. That is what Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Lilyana Pavlova, said for Radio FOCUS.
“After finishing the construction of Maritsa Motorway we would have been build 300 km of motorways in Bulgaria. We plan to build another 300 km of motorways in the coming years. It is very important to build the remaining 250 km of Hemus motorway and 60 km of Struma motorway. This is our basic priority, because Hemus motorway is long-awaited in North Bulgaria and it is the most important for the economy of the country. There is much of work to be done is in this direction because there isn’t secured European funding for Hemus motorway. So the work will be much more complicated, but we are ready for this challenge,” Lilyana Pavlova said.
