British government's proposal on four frigates delivered to Greek Defence Ministry

The British government's proposal for the Greek procurement of four new frigates with an interim solution was presented by British Ambassador to Greece Kate Smith to National Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos on Thursday.

After their business meeting in the ministry, Panagiotopoulos noted in a tweet that "the intense competition between interested parties has brought forth very interesting proposals for evaluation."

In a message on Twitter, Ambassador Smith said "the UK government and Babcock International's proposal for the Hellenic Navy next-generation frigates, including an interim solution, is now officially with the Hellenic Navy & the Hellenic Ministry of Defence experts and handed to Defence Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos today."
