Billa Bulgaria Opens New Store in Sofia, to Continue Expansion in 2019

Billa Bulgaria, the local arm of supermarket chain Billa owned by Germany's REWE Group, said on Friday that it has opened its 49th store in the country's capital Sofia on December 27. "Expansion is among the main priorities of our company and we will continue to actively expand our network in 2019," Boyko Sachanski, manager of Billa Bulgaria, said in a statement. The new store is Billa's 124th in the country. The company opened six new stores in 2018 - three in Sofia and one each in Plovdiv, Varna and Kostinbrod.
