Bilateral Тrade between Bulgaria and Greece Is at High Level - Nearly 3 Billion Euros Per Year: Bulgarian President

Greece is one of the three largest investors in Bulgaria. The bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Greece is at high level – nearly 3 billion euros per year. That is what, President Rosen Plevneliev, said at a press conference after a meeting with his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced.
“Only though joint efforts we can turn this historically burdened part of Europe in the part into a democratic and prosperous region in the future. Bad connectivity in regional aspect raised invisible walls and hampered economic development and investments over the years. Now we think and act beyond the borders - we build motorways, bridges, railway lines, new border checkpoints, and seek rapprochement. Our economies are linked more and more,” President Plevneliev said.
In his words, Greece is one of the five largest economic partners of Bulgaria.
“We are convinced that the forthcoming meeting of the cooperation at the highest level, which will be held in the first half of 2016, will contribute to the development of more good projects and joint initiatives. The construction of modern regional energy infrastructure is our top priority,” the Bulgarian Head of State outlined.
