Average Monthly Pension Up Slightly in Aug-Sept 2018

The average monthly income of Greek pensioners (basic and supplementary pension) totaled 896.5 euro in the August-September 2018 period, the "Helios" pension payment information system said in a report released on Tuesday, from 895.44 euro in the previous two months of June and July. The number of pensioners was 2,561,391, while average income from basic pension was 724.18 euro and the average income from supplementary pension was 172.32 euro. Another 97.84 euro was average income from dividends. In September, authorities paid 4,463,557 pensions to 2,561,391 pensioners, for a total monthly spending of 2,301,223,209 euro.
