Dimitar Stoyanov, MEP and former member of Bulgaria's ultra-nationalist Ataka party, said he plans to establish a new party on March 25, prompted by Ataka members who have left the party.
Apart from Stoyanov, the new formation will include Borislav Stoyanov, Valentin Nikolov, Dimitar Karbov, Ognyan Tetimov and Petar Hlebarov, as well as municipal councilors, who have won the last elections, the state-run Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.
"We believe that Bulgaria should put forth more acutely the question what the country stands to receive from Europe, as we kept our accession commitments. [...] We intend to base our policy on the example of Ireland, which, after its accession to the union, from the EU's poorest country become the fifth richest state in the world," BNR cited Stoyanov as saying.
