Bulgarian Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov has announced that the amendments to the Road Traffic Act will be ready around September.
"We have used mostly the good practices in the EU," Tsvetanov said Friday in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio.
He added that the ministry has uploaded an initial version of the amendments on its official website, in order to be seen and discussed.
"You can see the results. People know that when they travel through a European country, they become very disciplined. But when they are in Bulgaria, they do not follow the rules and the victims are a lot," Tsvetanov said. According to him, 372 people have died on the road since the beginning of the year.
