Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis will travel today to Ljubljana, Slovenia, in order to participate in the informal EU General Affairs Council, to be held Friday.
During the meeting the priorities of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union are expected to be presented. The agenda also includes issues such as: European coordination for the management of the post-COVID 19 pandemic era, the effective use of funds of the Recovery and Resilience Facility, with an emphasis on green and digital transition, the EU Digital Certificate, ways to enhance EU’s cyber security and cyber resilience, the proper functioning of the Schengen Area, transatlantic relations, migration, as well as ways to deepen the cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans.
The Ministers for European Affairs from the countries of the Western Balkans have also been invited to participate in meeting.
