Bulgaria's State Agriculture Fund (SAF) has approved 311 projects to receive financing under the Rural Development Programme for the last two weeks, which will be granted a total BGN 136.6 million, the fund said on Wednesday.
The bulk of the sum, or some BGN 73 million, has been allocated under the farm modernisation measure, with the projects amounting to 263.
SAF has also cleared 21 projects aimed at adding value to agriculture and forestry products, which will receive BGN 24.8 million, as well as projects concerning the diversification into non-agriculture activities, development of micro enterprises and municipal business plans.
"This week the fund will invite candidates to sign contracts for another 250 projects," SAF's head Svetoslav Simeonov said in a media statement.
