GERB to Propose Constitutional Change About Crimes During Privatisation
14 11 2017Political party Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (CEDB/GERB) will propose a change to the constitution regarding crimes during mass privatisation, the party told a press conference. The change will bring clarity about the distribution of huge state and municipal property which involved many crimes, GERB MP Danail Kirilov, chairman of the parliamentary legal affairs committee, said, quoted by FOCUS News Agency. He added that the controversial privatisation was directly linked to corruption. The party studied a decision of the Constitutional Court from 2016 and concluded that a change to the constitution would produce a more stable result, compared to any other legal change.
