18 05 2016The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has awarded the most successful banks, part of the Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP), for 2015 at an official ceremony in London. Postbank has received for the third consecutive year the prestigious TFP award: Most Active Issuing Bank in Bulgaria as a recognition of the achieved results and a EUR 42 million total value of completed deals under the programme in 2015.

Entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in the country, the quality of the projects we receive for financing is increasing and Bulgarian companies need strong support in order to find new markets and boost their production volume. We are glad with our partnership with EBRD. Thanks to it we can support the development of the business sectors and offer high-quality products to our clients by providing opportunity their foreign trade activities to be financed by us”, Mrs. Petia Dimitrova, CEO and Chairperson of the Management Board at Postbank, commented in regards to the award.
The award ceremony was part of the traditional EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum. The main theme of the forum was the challenges and the opportunities for our region in the next 25 years. Nikolay Stoyanov, Head of Corporate Transaction Banking Department in the Wholesale Banking Sector received the award in London on the behalf of Postbank.
Thanks to the EBRD’s TFP Postbank supports every year Bulgarian exporters and importers by providing guarantees which cover the risks in Trade Finance and short-term financing of foreign trade deals and Factoring.
In addition, the bank consistently achieves good results in the Factoring services and has become a leading bank on the Bulgarian Factoring market for a consecutive year with 35% Market Share of the total volume of the Factoring business and over 60% of Export Factoring. The financial institution registered 7% increase in Factoring services in 2015. Postbank provides Factoring services in over 90 countries in Europe, Southeastern Asia, North America and South America.
