Bulgaria's 235.2 mln euro road overhaul tender attracts 17 bids
14 08 2019Bulgaria's 460 million levs tender for an upgrade of a 54.3 km stretch of the first-class Vidin-Botevgrad road divided in three lots has attracted 17 bids, the country's Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) said on Tuesday. The highest-priced lot in the tender, with an estimated value of 250.7 levs, has attracted four bids - from three consortiums comprising respectively local companies Nivel Stroy, PST Group, Patengineering - M, PST Vidin, PST Sofia; GBS-Infrastrukturno stroitelstvo, Glavbolgarstoy International; Groma Hold and Evropeiski Patishta, as well as Trace Group Hold running on its own, RIA said in a statement.Most of the bidders for the first lot have expressed interest for all three lots in the tender. The other two lots in the tender attracted seven and six bids, respectively. The tender procedure envisages a novelty - the payment to the contractor will be made in one go after the completion of construction works, RIA noted. The tender, which was opened on July 5, envisages design and construction works on the prohect, supply of construction materials and maintenance of the road section in nortwestern Bulgaria.Bids will be ranked based on price with 60% weight and technical criteria with 40%. The project should be completed within 24 to 30 months depending on the lots.
