Memorandum of Understanding HBCB-SEV
05 02 2020On 22nd of January 2020 the Vice President of Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) Mr. Konstantinos Bitsios visited Sofia for the 15th Anniversary of the establishment of Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria and for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
Prior to the official signing, the Board of Directors of Hellenic Business Council in Bulgaria and Mr. Bitsios held a working lunch where the Vice President of SEV gave information about the economic development of the Greek economy and Greece's exit from the crisis. In turn the Board of Directors informed him about the activities of the Greek companies in Bulgaria and the problems they are facing.
A few hours later, HBCB signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the most influential business organization of Greece. The Agreement of cooperation was signed from Mr. Konstantinos Bitsios, SEV Vice President, Mr. Stamatis Theodoropoulos, HBCB Chairman and Mr. Makis Mavropoulos, HBCB General Secretary.
After the signing, Mr. Bitsios stated that "Greek entrepreneurs see opportunities in the SEE markets and are among the major investors in Bulgaria. Greek companies have invested more than 3 billion euros in the last 20 years and employ more than 37,000 employees. The Memorandum we have just signed will give us the opportunity to strengthen our cooperation aiming to enhancing trade and business between the two countries. The Council's experience in the Bulgarian market, combined with the prestige, networking and broader strategy of SEV, can open more possibilities for Greek companies in Bulgaria."
The Chairman of HBCB, Mr. Stamatis Theodoropoulos, stated that "the signing of the Memorandum is the highest and most honorable recognition that the Council can receive from the Greek business community, because SEV is Greece's most important business representative organization. The signing of Memorandum coincides on the day the Council celebrates its 15th Anniversary and marks its entry into the next phase of activation and development."
Mr. Theodoropoulos assured that the Council can be a reliable and consistent partner for SEV in Bulgaria and expressed his conviction that members of both organizations would benefit from their cooperation.
