Melrose Finds New Natural Gas Deposits in Bulgaria
Natural gas prices in Bulgaria will go down in the fall of 2010 as a result of extraction from three new deposits discovered by UK-based company Melrose resources. The three new natural gas deposits - Kaliakra, Kavarna, and Karvana East - are located in the very northeast of Bulgaria, in the Black Sea off the Kaliakra Cape.

AES Solar Energy Plans To Invest $400 Mln in 80 MW Solar Park in Bulgaria
AES Solar Energy, part of U.S. energy group AES, plans to invest $400 million (307.6 million euro) in an 80 megawatt (MW) solar park in Bulgaria, state-run news agency BTA reported on Wednesday.
Greece and Bulgaria on Tuesday signed a joint declaration over tax and customs administration issues, in the framework of a Greece-Bulgaria Cooperation Council held in Sofia. The aim of the joint declaration is to deal with VAT fraud and customs violations at the borders of the two countries, along with combating smuggling.
